Next button not working in DHIS2 Android App (v3.3.0 & previuos two versions) for Data Set Entry DHIS2 v2.40.10

Hello everyone,
I am facing an issue with the DHIS2 Android app related to data set reporting.

In the Android app, after selecting:
Organisation Unit
Period
the “Next” button does not open the dataset. Nothing happens, and the user cannot proceed to data entry.
I have also recorded the issue on play instance:

DHIS2 version: 2.40.10
Android App versions tested v3.3.0 and previous two:
In the web version, data entry is working correctly without any issue. Is there any workaround or configuration that needs to be checked.?

Hi @arslan_mughal!

I’m looking at this right now. I let you know what the issue is. It should be possible to open the dataset so definitely there is something there.

Hi there!
We’ve created a couple of jira tickets to handle the problems. It seems the main issue is related to data sets without a category combination. We found the following two problems:

  1. The Next button does not respond: Jira
  2. The data set can’t be edited: Jira

They are currently been fixed and will be available for the next patch release at the latest.
Meanwhile, you can bypass the error assigning a non default category option to the dataset.

DHIS2 Android Capture App version 3.3.0.1 is out as a HOTFIX release to address this issue
