Dear DHIS2 Developers.
I have been using the DHIS2 Capture app for one of my Tracker program implementations. A key feature that contributed to the program’s success was the restriction that prevented users from creating new enrollments without first searching for specific attributes. This process helped the system prevent duplicates and prevented data synchronization issues.
However, with the recent app update, I noticed that an “Add” button has now been introduced into the Tracker program, as shown in the attached screenshots..
While this new feature is a welcome improvement, I would suggest making it configurable — perhaps through the Maintenance app — so that developers can decide whether or not to enable the option to add new enrollments directly. Alternatively, it would be helpful to reintroduce the pop-up notification (similar to what exists on the web app) that appears when a unique ID is entered that already exist, However this function is also lost on the Webapp
