Dear all,
Am using Dhis 2.16 war file on the our Production server.I created some Data Elements with the mind of using them to create indicators. When i get to the indicator the elements are not displaying even though i have created the data element group.but the old Elements in the System are there.please can u help us out?

Anthony this sounds like it could be related to cache issues.
Did you try “really clearing” browser cache as per this tutorial https://www.dhis2.org/tutorials/how-to-really-clear-browser-cache?
And clearing the nginx cache?

Hi,
one suggestion is to verify that the data elements are of domain type “aggregate” and not “tracker.”

I have cleared all necessary cache but still it’s pending.its almost a month now being clearing nginx and browser cache but still the same.

yes i did check all the elements in question,they are all aggregate yet its still not displaying in the indicator creation area.

I had a quick look at the “Data Integrity” screen and find the following:
There are many, many dataelements (many 100’s) which trigger warnings due to
-
Data elements without a data set
-
Data elements without groups
-
Data elements violating exclusive group sets
-
Data elements in data set but not in form or sections
-
Data elements assigned to data sets with different period types
This might be a coincidence, but from a fairly brief inspection it seems that none of the dataelements listed in these categories appear as being available in the indicator calculation.
Can you take an example of one of the “troubled” dataelements which you have - ie one which you are trying to use in an indicator formula and which is not appearing - and verify the above? That is, for that particular dataelement make sure that it doesn’t violate any of the integrity issues listed and see if it is then usable.
