NCDs and DHIS2: Learning from Country Experiences

Noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), also known as chronic diseases, kill 41 million people each year, equivalent to 71% of all deaths globally - most occurring in LMICs. This session will share the experience of countries using DHIS2 to support screening and clinical management of NCDs, such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancer, while providing a fuller picture of disease burden. We will also share some work done by the DHIS2 packages team to transform these NCD programs into global packages for adaptation and use in other contexts.
