I am using dhis2 version 2.37.6. I have created a tracker program and entered data through facility users. As an admin I can see the data through selecting OU’s, but the problem is when I try to create reports or charts using data visualizer or even in the event visualizer it shows nothing.
Please, what do you see when you click update in the Data Visualizer app? Additionally, are there any errors in the Console or Network tabs in the browser’s DevTools (F12)?
Hi @Gassim
The network tab/console does not show any error. Secondly the Data visualizer and event visualizer both shows nothing. As you can see in the images.
I’m assuming that you’re facing this issue even with the user with ALL authority? No errors when running the Analytics Tables export nor in the Console and Network tabs when clicking on update. Any errors or warning in the Catalina.out log?
Hello @Gassim and @Mujtaba_Hussain
We are having the same issue since Jan 2025 (although we use older version of DHIS2) and issue with us is daily periods are not present in the period and _periodstructure table for 2025 so that analytics table is not updated. I guess you have the same problem. We are also exploring the possible solution to this. I thought the issue would resolve by upgrading the version and moving towards this. I hope to get some quick fixes.
A question to both @Mujtaba_Hussain and @padamdahal please, did you enter data for periods after 2025W1? If so then the above issue in the link is not related to the issue you are mentioned. As for the _periodstructure Padam mentioned, I don’t think it’s related to this topic because @Mujtaba_Hussain mentioned there are no errors. Would you create a second topic with the details @padamdahal?
@Mujtaba_Hussain , I’d like you to please check all the access / sharing settings, make sure the user has Data view permissions in the program, data elements and attributes as well as the category options…
as you can see in the image, data has entered for the tracker in both months you can see the registeration date , both Jand and feb too.
As far as the rights are concern, ADMIN has access to every module/data elements/CE , etc.
Yes One thing I would like you to notice is that I have entered the data through facility user as selected BHU PHANDU but obviously fac user does not have access to visualizer reports or charts, only admin can create.
I’m trying to figure out why the data isn’t appearing in the Data Visualizer app and since there are no error logs appearing, it’s quite vague; however, I hope we’ll get to the root of it.
Please check that you’ve updated the apps to the latest versions (from App Management app).
Would you like to check the Line Listing app as well? After you prepare the report (let’s make it as simple as possible), make sure the Network tab is open before you click on update then after you click on Update, check the request that’s sent. See the response, what’s the result?
The Line Listing app “replaces the legacy Event Reports app, offering all the line listing features and more in a redesigned, easy-to-use interface.” It’s available in the App Management app. It’s available for all the latest versions, but actually, I think you might not find it for version 2.37 .
I’d recommend upgrading the instance to one of the latest supported versions. You don’t need to upgrade the production environment yet but at least start with a clone for experimenting first.
There is a big chance that all the issues you are facing are already fixed in latest versions.

==== Hey what are the best possible ways to perform this to upgrade version?
