Can the Metadata audit feature work for modification to Users? Ie, is User a metadata in this case? We have situations where rights where added/removed and we are asked to check who did the modification for auditing purposes.

Not sure if Metadata Audit takes note of user account modifications.
A quick check would be to enable it, modify an existing user account and check the Metadata audit end point to see if the modification is logged or not.

Any kind of metadata change should be logged, that said… I’m not 100% sure if it gives you enough information, I’m working on a bit more flexible approach in 2.31.
That said, it should be enough already… just know that it will log -a lot- (there is no filter functionality)
Just tested - I don’t get anything related to users. The rest is working really well, even with basic filter options. Having a better view on users would be really useful. Morten could you confirm it should work with User (I sort of half remember that Users where sort of a metadata class but a quite specific one).

Which version are you on? in older versions of dhis2 it was still using our struts actions for user edits… which means no metadata imports (using the new importer)
