Line Listing App update not working

Hi team,

I am on DHIS2 Version 2.40.3.1 and using the v101.0.5 of the Line Listing App.

Its not possible to update the Line Listing App to a higer version. Have tried severally.
Even though the App Managment app says I have installed v101.0.6:

When I open the Line Listing app itself, it still shows v101.0.5:

I actually feel the version displayed in the Line Listing app is correct since I still experience bugs fixed in v101.0.6.

Any ideas on why this is happening?

The latest version in the App Management app is 101.0.5.

However, I still think you found a bug. To reproduce this bug:

  1. Go to latest play.dhis2.org instance
  2. If Line Listing app is not installed install the latest from the App Management app
  3. Check the version number, it appears correctly
  4. Uninstall the Line Listing app and install version 101.1.3
  5. Open the instance in browser’s Guest mode to avoid any cache issue
  6. Check the version number, it’s now less by one, and then the issue seems to persist.
  7. Update to latest version (it’s currently 101.0.5) but it will appear less by one: 101.0.4

However, I believe that it’s being installed correctly:

  1. Download the ZIP of the latest version
  2. Upload app and check version
  3. If you uninstall and install another version, you will see version number (even though incorrect) is updated so the app was indeed uninstalled first and then resintalled.

@Quoda thanks, I will report your post to the team to confirm this info and if we want to create a Jira bug issue for it.

Thank you for your prompt response. I’ve been out on some field activities.

I followed the reproduction steps you shared and I was able to reproduce the issue on the latest play instance.

Did you get any feedback from the team? Can I go ahead to create a jira bug ticket for this issue?

@Gassim , I am also convinced that this is definitely a bug, and have gone forward to create a bug ticket on Jira here.
