Let's go mobile! Scaling the DHIS2 Android Capture application for mobile collection of entomological data in four African countries

My name is Marianne Parrish, located in Portland, Oregon, United States. I am a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) VectorLink project at Abt Associates.

My presentation is a part of the Malaria Vector Control panel on Tuesday, June 21st at 15:35.

I will present on the PMI VectorLink project’s recent experience rolling out the use of the DHIS2 Android Capture application for mobile collection of entomological monitoring in four countries: Ghana, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire and Mali. These country case studies offer lessons learned and insights on how to leverage existing DHIS2 browser-based knowledge from the project’s central database, called VectorLink Collect, to improve overall data quality, access, and use. Each country represents unique contexts in terms of scale, connectivity, level of capacity, and data complexity. Join me in exploring how the DHIS2 Android Capture application can jump start your data flow from the field into the hands of vector control decision makers!
