Labels in Chart visualizer PNG and PDF downloads are Blacked out in 2.23

Hi All,
I recently upgraded to ver 2.23. I did some downloads of a chart view in “PDF” and “PNG” both files had black overlay on the chart legends/labels. Is this a bug in 2.23 or is this an isolated issue with image or PDF viewers? See image below.

imageThanks,

Bayoh.

Hi Ibra,

did you create this at the demo? Can you give us a link or steps to reproduce?

regards,

Lars

Hi Lars,
Thanks for the quick response. The screenshot in my previous email was created in our “Dev” DHIS2 2.23 instance but I also tested it out in the Demo “Stable” in the official DHIS2 instance.

**Steps to produce image download of charts in data visualizer **

1. Form any chart dashboard item “Click” on “Explore”

image

2. From within data visualizer view “Click” on “Download”

image

3. From the Download menu “Click” on “Image” / “PDF”

image

  1. Open the downloaded file

Best,

Bayoh

Hi Ibra,

this happened as a result of the batik svg encoder we use on the server side not understanding certain svg properties. It’s been fixed in 2.22, 2.23 and trunk now.

Lars
