Issues with French translations in DHIS2 Tracker (Version 2.40.5)

Hi everyone,

I’d like to point out two translation issues in the French interface of the DHIS2 Tracker program (version 2.40.5):

  1. “Enrollement” is currently translated as “Identification du (de la) survivant(e)”, but the correct translation should be “Inscription” for clarity and accuracy.
  2. “Incomplete” is translated as “Incomplet”, but the proposed correction is “Modifier”, as it better reflects the intended action.

These corrections would help improve the clarity and usability of the interface for French-speaking users.

Thank you for taking this into consideration!

Best regards,

Hi @elmoujarrade

Thank you for sharing and contributing to the contributing. Would it be okay if we move this to the Translation - Traduction category?

Additionally, did you know that you can register as a translator and contribute directly to the translations? Localization of DHIS2 - DHIS2 Documentation

Here’s a screenshot of the platform you can use to contribute:

I’ll be FWD this to the core team too, thanks!

Dear DHIS2 team,

I would like to follow up on a translation issue that was previously reported (last post dated January 8, 2025).

In the Tracker enrollment screen (program context: TB), the French translation currently displays:

“Identification du (de la) survivant(e)”

This translation is not appropriate for TB or general clinical programs. The term “survivant(e)” is typically used in GBV or post-conflict contexts and may cause confusion for healthcare providers.

We suggest using a more accurate translation such as:

  • “Inscription”
  • or “Identification du patient”, depending on the program context.

Could you please check the source of this translation and apply a correction in the next release or translation update?

Thanks in advance for your support and for ensuring consistency across language packs.

Best regards,

Hi @elmoujarrade
We are still working on the terminological harmonization and the result will be shared here as soon as possible
Thanks a lot for the comment and follow-up !!!

Hi, @Christiansaka

Thank you for your quick response regarding the ongoing terminology harmonization — I look forward to the upcoming update.

I would also like to report another translation issue observed in the Tracker program, as shown in the attached screenshot.

The button currently displays the label:
“Incomplet”

This translation may be unclear for end users. A more appropriate and user-friendly term would be:
“Modifier”.

Thank you for considering this correction in the next language pack update.

Best regards,
