I hope you do not mind me asking few questions with regard to the DHIS2 local installation process.
I completed the installation of both DHIS2 version 2.28 and pgAdmin 4, and I already have java installed on my computer.
I noticed that I could launch DHIS2 directly without having installed neither Tomcat nor Jetty. Does this mean that we no longer need to install one of those two softwares?
What is the relationship between DHIS2 and PostgreSQL?
Would you please walk me through the process of linking DHIS2 and PostgreSQL step by step?
Looking forward to your reply.
Thank you very much
Regrds,
Mohamed

Dear Mohamed,
Please share your installation steps. I think that is the best way we
can help you. What OS (Windows/Ubuntu) are you using to do the local
instance installation? For me i know the following, that for DHIS2 to
work you need the following:
1. Java
2. PostgreSQL (which is the recommended database of which you have the
pgadmin3 or 4 application)
3. Web socket or container (apache Tomcat or Jetty)
For now, dhis.conf file creates the connection of DHIS2 and PostgreSQL
