Introducing the DHIS2 to ArcGIS Connector App

In recent years, geospatial data, analysis, and visualization have become central to public health workflows. Chief among the many champions of expanded access to geospatial solutions for health is Esri, whose open and interoperable ArcGIS system has often been at the leading edge of solving many of the most pressing global health problems. In this session, Esri’s Global Public Health Portfolio Lead and Solution Engineer will highlight the ways in which DHIS2 users can augment their deployments using Esri/ArcGIS technology. Specifically, the session will showcase Esri’s new DHIS2 to ArcGIS Connector app, available in the DHIS2 App Hub. The new app provides a no-code interface that allows DHIS2 users to host a live feed of DHIS2 data in the ArcGIS System. By allowing users to connect their DHIS2 data directly to ArcGIS, we are offering a way to harness the benefits of DHIS2 alongside the latest in geospatial technology including mapping and visualization, data management, and analytical capabilities. Attendees of this session will learn how to use the DHIS2 to ArcGIS Connector App and see a demonstration of how to leverage their DHIS2 data in the ArcGIS system. This session will also include key information regarding Esri’s Global Public Health Grant Program and the Geospatial Enablement Program. These programs, coupled with the capabilities of the DHIS2 to ArcGIS Connector App, will allow Ministries of Health and other global organizations in resource-constrained environments the ability to combine the unique strengths of DHIS2 and ArcGIS.
