In "Sharing settings" the option "Can view only" does not work correctly

In the Dhis2 2.34 instance that I use to give authorities to users; I noticed that in “Sharing settings” if I select “Can view only” the user can, despite that, modify the data, and not only view the data.
How to solve this problem.

Hi @elmoujarrade,
Please make sure that the user is not in another group that has given the edit permission. If you remove all users, disable the public and external permissions, and then add this single user with only the ‘can view only’ do you still face this issue?

Are you able to reproduce this in https://play.dhis2.org/2.34.9/? Maybe update to the latest patch.
