Jan, i actually matched them correctly and there was nothing in the New column when importing - the # to update was exact as was in the DB. My under-sight was - “You get districts when selecting regions”…can’t stop

you don’t need to pay attention to levels when you import coordinates, the names just have to match. My guess is that even though you imported a district shapefile (GML) the names probably did not match. Make sure that the names in your ogr:Name tags in the GML file are matching exactly the orgunit names in the database.
You get districts when selecting regions. Are you sure you chose the correct name tags when you renamed to ogr:Name ? District shapefiles often have the region name as well.

Friends - i have a local DHIS2 setup on my laptop and i am trying to import GML files.
There were no shape files earlier on my system. I imported Districts of Uganda using the user guide on the dhis2 site - successfully. When i go to Services → GIS and Select the Boundary Layer; when i select District from the drop down of level and click on Uganda under the Parent organisation unit and click Update, the map doesn’t appear.
To my surprise when i change the Level to Region and click update, i get the map showing districts. Its giving me a thought that i probably need to import GML files according to the level’s; is that correct?
The level’s as set in my system are:-
Uganda
Region
District
County
Sub-County
Does that mean that i need to import the GML files according to the set levels? Or is something wrong with my earlier imported GML file?
