Hello again,
In the process of importing data directly to DHIS 2, I’m encountering the problem that none of the orgunits are showing up in the GUI. I thought this might have to do with the active bit, openingdate or the hierarchy, but cannot see what is missing.
What decides wheter an orgunit is included in the tree?
Here are the first two lines in my organisationunit table (with the rootnode first):
organisationunitid uuid name parentid shortname code openingdate closeddate active comment geoCode latitude longitude
9999 NULL TB M&E NULL TME NULL 1984-04-01 NULL NULL NULL NULL NULL
1 NULL Afghanistan 9999 Afghanistan NULL 1984-04-01 NULL NULL NULL NULL NULL

I have an Access database with files, and am debating whether I should try and match it first to an empty 1.4 database and then import into 2.0, or try and go directly to a DHIS 2 Mysql db. I think I could handle it either way, just wanted to raise the issue on this list, as it is something a lot of people will encounter in different settings. We should probably have some documentation of best practices for this sort of thing, and I would be happy to start a wikipage on it, but would welcome viewpoints. This is also linked to the work on Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle) - it would be great to have an update on the status and plan for that work as well.
