how to export DHIS database and import it in mysql local database in wamp

Hello everyone,

Please I Wish to use DHIS locally in my wamp server.I want to develop certain modules locally but dont have any idea on how to import it or get the .sql extension of the database of DHIS that I recently downloaded. Please can someone help? Thanks in advance…

Hi Baye,

Are you using Postgres or Mysql. Dhis2 has been well tested on Postgres but can run on other DBMS’s. If its getting a .sql dump use either pg_dump or mysql_dump utilities that the two DBMS’s offer. I dont have the syntax off my head but Google would be useful.

I would also recommend Postgres. But if you insist on mysql then probably best to use the dhis export and import for metadata and data.
