Instead of searching through multiple pages of documentation, you can now ask the DHIS2 AI Assistant.

In this short video, I demonstrate how the Ask AI feature in the DHIS2 documentation can help you find answers to your DHIS2 questions.

The assistant can use information from DHIS2 documentation and the DHIS2 Community of Practice to help answer your questions.

Of course, AI-generated answers should still be checked against the original documentation, but this can be a useful place to start when you’re learning DHIS2 or trying to find information quickly.

Great post Mayamiko! Thanks for promoting Ask AI and particularly the feedback, that really does help us improve the documentation. There are actually more sources this agent uses including the DHIS2 Jira and Youtube channel. You can also connect this to your own AI agent like claude cowork using the MCP server and improve the agent’s understanding of DHIS2. I’ll get more details of how to do that in a post soon.

I wasn’t aware that the AI Assistant also uses DHIS2 Jira and the DHIS2 YouTube channel as knowledge sources, so that’s great to know.

The MCP integration with AI assistants like Claude also sounds really interesting. I haven’t explored that yet, but I’d love to learn more once you’ve shared the details. I think it would make for a great follow-up video showing a practical use case for DHIS2 implementers and developers.
