Hiding Inactive Organisation Units from Data Entry

Hello DHIS2 Community,

We are looking for a way to hide inactive organisation units from the data entry interface. We have some units that are no longer operational, and while we don’t want to delete them (to keep historical data intact), we’d like to prevent them from appearing in the data entry forms.

Is there a built-in way to achieve this in DHIS2, or would a custom solution be necessary? Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mamadou,

In my experience it’s best to create a new org unit group, and the assign the user group to it. That way they will only see the org units in the group which they are meant to see.

Just to clarify, which data entry forms are you talking about? Is this aggregate forms, or an “OrgUnit” data type in Event Capture or Tracker?

Additionally, may I ask if you’re using the new Data Entry app or the legacy (older) app?
