Hi Everyone I need help concerning the above mentioned problems, When I am in Event capture, when I click the location button next to gps coordinates a whole map appears with no butoon for get current location like that in android and when I click on the location point button in tracker capture it does not pop up anything, just blinks.I would like that user is able to capture current location with ease without having to put a point on the map in order to have the accurate location when using the tracker capture app or event capture app on web.I have attached snips for reference. Thank You.
I’m assuming you are using a portable device that has GPS but isn’t android so you’re using the web version rather than the android app? It appears that getting current location isn’t a feature on web so a simple workaround would be to use another app/site that could get the Latitude and Longitude and then pasting them into the browser.
Could you add more details about the portable device you are using? Does it have a GPS tool attached to it, would it be possible to run a virtual environment to use the app? With more information, we could create a feature request.
What version of DHIS2 are you using? I’m not able to reproduce this issue.
Hi @Gassim thank you for your response,I needed to use the detect current location feature on web browser something similar to the form field shown on this screenshot (the example shown here is from a form in kobo toolbox web form.As for the question for DHIS2 Version, currently on v2.40.0.1
Hello @Gassim, @thusosehloho
Even on android, the GPS coordinates are not accurate. Each time a user clicks their current location, unfortunately enough is found in different places.
@Gassim probably a feature request in android where a user is given an option to give permission to get exact location.
