I think i know what happens, but i don’t know why it happens. And i currently don’t have a windows pc to test this on. (I have tested on some old XP virtual box i used for IE8 testing, and installed firefox 35.0.1 there but the icons show up for me there)
I’m not sure how technical your background is but i’ll give it a shot.
That folder icon is the default icon for when an icon can not be found. There is an onError html attribute that changes the src attribute to the folder icon.
If there are not browser errors it might be that in firefox on some versions of windows this piece of code always gets run. I have one small clue that it might be that it somehow evaluates the onError code. But it shouldn’t as it should be case insensitive and work the same as onerror.
Perhaps it could also be that the images really can’t be found?
In any case, would you be able to help me out and check your firefox network and console tabs in the dev tools to see if you get any errors there? Primarily look for errors on the image requests or other javascript errors.
And could you also check the demo instance in the same browser and see if the same thing happens there? https://apps.dhis2.org/demo/
