Events api - filter by status

Hi devs,
I’m trying to filter events by status, like this: https://apps.dhis2.org/demo/api/events.json?status=ACTIVE

Is this not the correct way to do it? Either I’m doing it wrong, or it is not working on 2.20 - the above example includes events that have status COMPLETED, and https://apps.dhis2.org/demo/api/events.json?status=COMPLETED includes events with status ACTIVE.
