Error install containers with LXD

Please add ‘sysadmin’ as a tag when posting a new topic in the Server Administration - Administration-du-Serveur category.

Hello, I have a problem with my basic lxd containers [monitor, proxy, postgres] I had already installed the three with the lxd_install.sh script then I deleted with delete_all.sh. Now that I relaunch the script to install again I receive the message “waiting for network” while my internet connection is good. I need help.

Hi @Shamsdine_Ndaw

I see that this is a duplicate installation because it’s saying that most of these ‘already exist’, so I’m wondering if the issue is the ports and configuration are already reserved for your previous installation? if you’re installing two instances in the same OS you’ll probably need to update the configuration.

Thank you!

Hello @Shamsdine_Ndaw,

From the screenshot, it appears the issue is related to the “Waiting for network” message, which typically indicates that the container is having trouble establishing outbound connectivity—likely due to a network misconfiguration on the host.

It also seems you’re using dhis2-tools-ng, which relies on bash scripts. Please be aware that running these scripts repeatedly without proper cleanup can sometimes lead to inconsistent or unexpected behavior.

You might want to consider switching to the Ansible-based alternative: dhis2-server-tools. It offers idempotency, making it more reliable and predictable for managing deployments.
