[Error for to Run startup.sh file on Ubuntu 12.04]

Hello everyone,
I’m Dhis user from DRC[Kinshasa]
I installed ubuntu 12.04 on dhis2 but when I run the startup.sh file.

I have a message that says “No access to the file. Jar”
Here at home, capturing the error message

strange. it looks like the path to jar file is not being computed correctly. This shouldn’t happen as the startup.sh does this automatically. Maybe you have accidentally edited it. can you attach a copy of your startup.sh

Given you have java installed then you should be able to start it meanwhile by just typing:

java -jar dhis2-live.jar

in the directory where the jar file is.

You would need to type that exactly (or copy and paste from here):

java -jar dhis2-live.jar

But best is just to use the original startup.sh as Knut sent you. It will work. There is no need to edit.
