Difficulities compiling organisation unit/group

Hi @Gassim thank you for your quick and kind response!

I tried to contact the academy support and they told me to subscribe in order to follow the online courses however this is not my issue.

Right now I’m in Tanzania and I’m trying to implement DHIS2 to support a project about inclusion and education.

The problems that I’m facing are specific and in my opinion are software based.

The first one is these strange signs instead of arrows in the menu:

The second one is that I can’t see roots when trying to create an organisation group and that leads me to have difficulties when entering the data, to be more specific it won’t load the organisation unit to choose from.

Is there any solution to this problems? I’m really struggling to solve them by myself.

Thank you again for your kindness.

Giovanni

Hi Giovanni

Sorry, it was to my understanding that you are following the course videos on YouTube which meant it’d be necessary to follow the course instructions on the site. Is the instance you are using Trainingland or your own instance?

What version of DHIS2 are you using? Is the account a superuser account?

Thanks!

Thank you!

I was trying to use a simpler structure than trainingland to check the status of my problems. I saw in this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmuI6BNUvho the division between Canada, Ontario, the hospitals and health centers and I tried to replicate this on my DHIS2 and it won’t work.

I’m using the latest version of DHIS2 40.1.0, with tomcat 9.0.80, postgress 14.9 and jdk 11.0.20 on a windows 11 64 bit system and I run everything on chrome.

Yes my account is a superuser.

Thank you very much.

Hi @ToTrit

Could you share step by step how to reproduce this issue here: DHIS 2 Demo - Sierra Leone?

I will check the steps and see what’s going on, thanks!

I replicated on the DEMO and everything looks fine!

The first issue I had was the strange signs instead of arrows and in the DEMO is compleatly fine

The second one was having no roots when creating an organisation group and it looks fine as well because i managed to create two

However when I try to do this on my built I can’t and I still face the same problems that I showed you before.

Thank you very much!

Giovanni

I also noticed that the superuser role is different between mine (first picture) and the DEMO one (second picture)

Thanks @ToTrit! This might be because of a browser cache issue, would you please try again by logging in using your browser’s Guest mode ( Browse Chrome as a guest - Computer - Google Chrome Help)?

Once we eliminate the cache issue, we can investigate further. Thanks!

Tank you! Unfortunately from now till friday I will be travelling to visit some schools here in Tanzania, can we discuss it on monday?

Thank you very much.

Giovanni

Hi @ToTrit

The community forum is open anytime! Looking forward to hearing back from you and hopefully that if it’s a cache issue, it will be easily resolved.

It sounds like you are working in Education field? Would be great to hear about the use cases and experiences as well! There’s an Education category where you can share about your project.

Thanks!

Hi @Gassim!
Hope your weekend was fine!
I tried to browse as a guest but i got the same results as before. I still have got the strange signs instead of arrows and i can’t create an organisation unit group as shown in the pictures below.
I also tried to browse on other web browsers like edge and modzilla but I still get the same results, I don’t know what the problem could be.

Hi @Gassim I did a bit of research and i fixed my problem!
I had to add this line of code in the java section of tomacat, clear out my cache and I was all set and done! I’ll leave it there if someone needs it!

Now everything is working properly.

thank you very much for your help, I wish you a great time.
