DHIS2 v2.29 Tracker Program Creation using the same data elements

Hello Community,

I am creating two identical tracker programs that have or will use the same data elements. Is it workable and good practice to assign the same data elements to two different tracker programs? What effect can this have on data entry via the andriod app version 0.5.6 (64) as well as the desktop version and also data analysis?

Or maybe i should clone/replicate the same data element and add a prefix or something to distinguish one from the other?

Please advise.

Hi @Mulimba,

There should be no problem for any of the android app to handle same data elements for different programs. Same in desktop.
But I don’t know the effect it can have in analytics, I guess there won’t be any problem as well.
