  • 2026 DHIS2 Annual Conference: The Call for Presentations is now open for the Annual Conference, taking place 15-18 June 2026 in Oslo, Norway. This event will run in parallel with the first-ever DHIS2 Climate & Health Academy.
  • 2026 DHIS2 Symposium: HISP UiO is co-organizing the symposium with BAO Systems, scheduled for 11-12 February 2026 in Arlington, Virginia. The Call for Speakers is now open.
  • DHIS2 at COP30: DHIS2 for Climate & Health was presented at COP30 in BelĂ©m, Brazil, and included in the BelĂ©m Health Action Library.
  • HISP Network Updates:
    • West Africa: HISP UiO and HISP WCA partnered with Sand Technologies to support health intelligence centers.
    • Chad: HISP Rwanda supported the MoH to deploy DHIS2 for a national polio vaccination campaign.
    • Tanzania: HISP Tanzania presented on using DHIS2 scorecards for decision-making.
    • DPGA: HISP UiO presented global learnings at the Digital Public Goods Alliance Annual Members Meeting in Brazil.
  • Global Implementations: Updates include an upgrade in the Solomon Islands, cholera surveillance research in Lebanon, and community health worker empowerment in Cameroon.

:books: DHIS2 for Education

  • Ethiopia: Launched a DHIS2 for Education project to power “Teaching at the Right Level”.
  • Uganda: Data visualization in DHIS2 revealed subject performance gaps to improve student outcomes.
  • Eswatini: Featured updates on the power of data use and integrating disability indicators into the national EMIS.
  • Research & Reflections: HISP co-authored an article on the “Data Disconnect” and shared reflections on the ADEA 2025 event.

:mobile_phone: Technology & Software

  • Android Capture v3.3: Released with new capabilities, visual refinements, and architectural improvements; a new Android Troubleshooting Guide is also available.
  • Civil Registry Lookup: Announced the Civil Registry Lookup Reference Implementation to demonstrate integration between the Capture app and external civil registries.
  • New Webpages: Launched new pages dedicated to DHIS2 & AI and Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).
  • Modeling Tools: Released a video on the DHIS2 Modeling App and Chap Modeling Platform for predictive modeling and disease forecasting.
  • Software Updates: Security hotfixes and patches released for versions 42.3.1, 41.6.1, 40.10, and security updates for versions 2.37–2.39.
