Highlights:

  • DHIS2 recognized as a Global Good for Climate and Health by PATH Digital Square, joining only two other open-source platforms supporting climate-resilient health systems, based on its global reach and recent climate-health integration innovations.

  • Featured in UNICEF’s Digital Tool Selection Guidebook for Health Campaigns, highlighting DHIS2’s flexibility, interoperability, and readiness for national-scale deployment.

  • New collaboration between HISP UiO and IIIT Bangalore to explore integration between DHIS2 and MOSIP for linking national health information and identity systems.

  • Research from Ethiopia shows DHIS2 significantly improved maternal and child health (MCH) data use, leading to better antenatal care, skilled birth attendance, immunization rates, and service delivery.

  • Climate & Health updates:

    • Presentations in Brazil on integrating climate and dengue data in DHIS2 and using Chap Modeling Platform for forecasting.

    • Jamaica launched its first national cancer registry based on DHIS2.

    • Ethiopia exploring DHIS2 for modernizing agricultural data.

    • Sierra Leone began DHIS2 implementation for education data management.

    • Uganda launched a mental health data digitization project using DHIS2 and AI.

    • Philippines held training on its new DHIS2-based Multi-Sectoral Nutrition system.
