We’re excited to announce that DHIS2 has released the DHIS2 Hypertension Control Package to support the management of hypertension control programs at the primary care level. This metadata package includes a tracker program to document routine blood pressure monitoring visits, as well as a hypertension program monitoring dashboard. It is especially designed for efficient offline use with the DHIS2 Capture app on Android devices.
This configuration is based on a similar DHIS2 Tracker system for hypertension care configured and deployed in Kano and Ogun states in Nigeria in 2021-2022, in collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Health Nigeria, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, HISP Nigeria, WHO and Resolve to Save Lives. Indicators for the package dashboard were derived from the WHO HEARTS Technical package for hypertension management. We are thankful to the FMOH, NPHCDA, HISP Nigeria, RTSL, and WHO for their support and collaboration in producing this package.
