DHIS2 in Agriculture

Dear All,

We are in the process of implementing DHIS2 to collect, manage and visualise Agricultural data in Zimbabwe. The system will basically do the following tasks:

  1. Track prices of all agricultural commodities (livestock products, crops, fruits, horticultural products, etc) at different locations across the country.
  2. Track production and consumption levels of all agricultural commodities
  3. Track export and import of these commodities
  4. Monitor disease outbreak for both livestock and crops
  5. Monitor pest outbreak
    The monitoring will be done weekly for some data elements and monthly for others.

If there is anyone who has implemented DHIS2 in Agriculture, lets share notes and experiences.

Your research is interesting.
I want to ask some question
At what adminstarive level are u collecting your data,
Do you have any method to control in data quality issue at time of collection
Do u think dhis2 is an appropriate solution in agricultural sector to collect, manage data quality at different level and visualize data for decision.
