DHIS2 for Credit Management Community System

The division of accumulated savings within VSLA was often hindered by the loss of critical information, such as member savings records. This data loss could stem from various factors, including natural disasters (like rain) or human factors such as theft or accidental destruction of physical records (notebooks and passbooks). The development of the platform significantly mitigated this risk by providing a secure digital record of savings transactions. This effectively resolved many of the conflicts that arose during savings distribution due to missing or inaccurate information. Prior to the platform, savings records were primarily maintained manually in notebooks and passbooks, both by the group secretary and individual members. These physical records were vulnerable to loss or damage, leading to inaccuracies and disputes within the group.

Thank you for sharing this @zeferino ! This is definitely a new use case, and it’s good to hear that the VSLAs that are run by independent communities can be managed using DHIS2. Looking forward to hearing more about the story.
