DHIS2 DATA USE AT DISTRICT LEVEL: THE GULU CITY USE CASE
Gulu City is among the 10 Cities and Municipalities Uganda implementing DHIS2 for Education, a platform developed and maintained by University of Oslo, Norway together with Health Information Systems Program – Uganda (HISP Uganda) being a non-profit organization registered in Uganda. Data use at district level and the Gulu City use case in Strengthening data collection, use and dissemination as part of the district lessons learned and the approach to data champions training for sustainability.
Basing on the above, Gulu City is actively implementing and championing as far as Dhis2 data use for budgeting and Planning processes, National Assessments, benchmarking, Immunization, Mapping schools ,Teachers’ Transfer, Examination (PLE) result Analysis , School Lists existing, new and closed schools, registered schools or centres, monitoring and inspections, Stakeholder Outreach - Backup Uganda distribution of learning materials such as Audio Podcast Uganda, FICHTNER ,KFW–Provision of sanitation and WASH facilities, Geneva Global - program of Speed Schools ; USAID/Integrated child and Youth Development (ICYD) - EGRA reading and phonetics, Distribution of mosquito nets, Strong Minds Uganda - Community mental health, Research Purpose by Universities and higher institutions, Data Champions Training –managers School status Report…
