DHIS2 CCE tool community meet-up

Continuing the discussion from LMIS and Supply Chain Meetup Announcement: Cold Chain Equipment Lifecycle Management and Temperature Monitoring

Hi again everyone,

Thanks to everyone who participated and engaged in the meetup! It was great to see your participation and interest in trying out the demo.

We had a productive session covering how the DHIS2 CCE tool handles the full equipment lifecycle—from initial installation and maintenance to eventual decommissioning. We also explored how Temperature Monitoring integration can provide critical oversight of temperature conditions to protect vaccines and other cold-chain products.

If you didn’t get a chance during the session, or if you want to test the workflows yourself, you can explore the LMIS sandbox here:

You can log in with:
• Username: demo
• Password: Stock123!
Note: the sandbox is reset regularly, so feel free to experiment—your changes won’t be permanent.

Share Your Experience
We want to keep this conversation going! The Community of Practice is the best place to reach out if you have follow-up questions or want to share your own experiences. Implementation - Implémentation > Supply Chain and LMIS

We’re particularly interested to know:

  • Are you currently working on a new LMIS or CCE implementation?

  • What are the biggest challenges you’re facing with temperature monitoring right now?

:speaker_high_volume: Stay Tuned
We’ll be announcing the topic and date for our next LMIS and Supply Chain meetup very soon.

Thanks again for being part of the community!

Hello and good afternoon,
Does this also mean that an instance can be created for countries that does not have a LMIS?

Hi Benjamin
Absolutely! As this was a Community meetup we assumed that most countries are already using DHIS2. If DHIS2 is not used in the country yet at all or if using a dedicated instance is preferred, a dedicated or new DHIS2 instance can be set up. The application as well as the documentation is free and open source (including the code). Moreover, there is detailed documentation of the suggested configuration and all the metadata can be studied in our fully functional sandbox which is publicly available.
However, in practice we advise to contract one of the HISP groups in your area for setting up the instance and configuring DHIS2 as they have vast experience with DHIS2 and managing projects.
What country are you working in?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
George (LMIS technical advisor, HISP centre UiO)
