We’ve just set up a new system (2.30 - Build 0722ff4) and it looks that the metadata import file format feature isn’t available anymore (e.g. I can’t import metadata from a csv file).
I don’t find any info about this (but I may search the wrong way). Am I missing something or is it just a dev choice?
I think it’s more than that - I was looking at the new metadata import app as well, and it has bigger issues. It accepts json and xml, won’t accept zip (returns 415), but when you click on import it immediately logs you out and there is no way to see if anything actually happened - logger console on the bottom of the import app only has very limited info - there don’t seem to be any summaries.

I didn’t test zip file imports. Can you attach your zip file so we can test and come back on this.

On the Logout issue can open a JIRA ticket - https://jira.dhis2.org/secure/Dashboard.jspa and me and Viet. We’ll try to reproduce this on the frontend and see why this is happening.

I think 4285 already has screenshots for 401. I will put in a comment.
With file type auto-detection, does that mean that support for CSV metadata import is being dropped?
When it comes to zip files, not sure about Thomas, but i’ve downloaded data set with dependencies from play.dhis2.org/2.30/ as a zip, and when trying to import locally (or into the demo site itself) get a spinning circle and a 415:

The point is that it’s something that used to work, and no longer does. And files can get massive if not compressed, and limit set by nginx can refuse large file.

Also, I commented on the jira ticket, and will bring it up here as well - what type of object will CSV import actually import? in pre-2.30 you have a dropdown that lets you select the type of object, because specifications for the CSV file says that only the name is required, and unless you specify during import, how will DHIS2 know?
