Dear All,
eHealth Africa wants to do a Data Integration Project for Sierra Leone
and they are asking the following questions please can someone help
me?
Hi Gerald,
To go ahead with the implementation and execution of the Data
Integration project, We would like to get the following information
from you to get a better understanding of the current architectural
set up for the applications you currently use in the Ministry of
Health. The information we need includes:
1. Current architectural design for each application
2. Where are they currently sitting on? Cloud or Physical Server and details
3. API attached to each of the modules or Application
4. A concise work flow that shows how the process works in the
Ministry and also were the physical server resides
4 could of course be complicated or simple, depending on what exactly you hope to achieve with the Data integration Project. One (of the many possible) workflows I would suggest is nominating your HMIS system as the authoritative source of facilities (the facility registry). This can be a useful starting point for lining up your other applications for more detailed integration. Making sure each app is using the same facility identifiers is a great start to any integration project. Perhaps integrating this with the HR (iHRIS) system.
Dear Bob,
Thanks for your help and i will keep you updated

Hi Gerald
I think only you have the answers to 2 and 4.

It looks as though we will have collaboration around integration with eHealth on Liberia, in which case the work can hopefully also be relevant for Sierra Leone.

Dear Knut,
I am sure that will be helpful if you can share. eHealth Africa want
to develop an electronic copy of our records or registers that we
normally used in the districts for DHIS2. There issues is how to
design these forms for mobile phone or tablets and also how to
synchronize the output data from these devices to the DHIS2 Linode
server.
