DHIS 2 Message Repy

Dear Developers,

Am not sure if it was intended to work like it is now.

When you reply to a DHIS2 message even the person had written to only you the reply goes to all DHIS2 users. Which to me is reply to all including uncopied and cced users.

I think this ends up sending unnecessary messages to all users it should be between the the two or group or orgunits only.

Regards

Hi Prosper,

I am not able to reproduce that behavior.

What might have confused you is that when you send an initial message to lots of users, and they reply, the reply goes to all original recipients throughout the conversation. This behavior is desired in some cases, for instance when someone reports a problem and you want everyone to receive the explanation in order to avoid repeating yourself later.

But I guess it can also be inconvenient for instance when sending SMS is enabled, which I suspect is your use-case. We can think of how to make this more controlled.

I 2.13 we are displaying message recipients in the read message screen to make it clearer.

Lars

Hi Lars,

To add on Prosper’s message recipient issue,

I happen to be a user on that use case, original messages are sent to a group that I do not belong to but once any of the recipients in that group replies I receive the reply.
