We are now trying out DataZ as an alternative for mass importing our data, and we have found it to be pretty easy to use. We are encountering some problems however with importing coordinates. Our lat/long data are set as feature type and not as data elements. There are lat/long data displayed in the import log at the bottom of the page, implying that it has been successfully imported along with the rest of the record. But upon checking the Capture program, all other data are imported except for the coordinates.
Does this particular import/export work if you’d use the Import/Export app or are you facing a similar issue there too?
So if I understand correctly there are no errors or warnings in the logs, but that the coordinates are not imported? What is the version of the DHIS2 instance you’re using? Since this is a @BAO_Systems app, they’ll probably want to know the version of the app as well and as much information as possible to help including he detailed metadata configuration and how to reproduce this issue?
Thank you for your reply. We are using dAtaZ v.28.0.11 and DHIS2 2.40.6. And yes you are correct. There were no errors or warnings. All data in the record were successfully imported except for the coordinates.
Hi @Chari : you may also want to try adding the data for some coordinates via the data entry app and checking that it saves correctly there, you can then confirm the format you used when importing data.
In general, if you have a data element of type coordinate, the format is [-19.23 , 56.42] , that is [longitude, latitude], separated by brackets. This format may not apply depending on what you are importing the data against.
Thanks for the reply! We already have several hundreds for records with saved coordinates. I used the same format we used for those records in the dAtaZ importer, but it doesn’t import along with the rest of the data.
