Data Set problem

Hello Team

I have a problem about Data Set.
We are fixing something in our DHIS2 but, we need to assign to some users a
dataset for entering data and some data set just for view data.
Could you help me if is it possible in usual DHIS2

Where do you want the data viewers to view data from? Entry or analytics

If in analytics, dodnt given them a role with the authority to see data entry module.

Dear Carlos,

That may be difficult with DHIS2 especially if the lower level and higher level are using the same dataset and levels and Orgunits follow the DHIS2 hierarchy tree.

If it was different datasets, you would restrict view rights to only analytics.

If you can, given the operation structure of the use, you can implement data approval and once lower levels have entered and approved the data, its only readonly.

If you need a class of users who just need to see the data, then use the data set reports. Create two roles, one with data entry permissions and the other with permissions to view data set reports.

For users that need both data entry and to view reports, you would assign both roles. For users which only need to view data, they can do this with the data set reports and not be able to modify the data. Thus they would not need the permission for data entry.

It’s better to get people used to viewing data with the Pivots and other analytics tools (like the data set reports) rather than through the data entry screen.
