In light of a recent law concerning data protection in Rwanda, HISP Rwanda is pleased to announce that we have been awarded certificates by the National Cyber Security Authority’s Office, confirming our status as a Data Controller and Data Processor. This certification highlights our commitment to adhering to Rwanda’s data protection laws and our pledge to protect client data including data within the DHIS2 platform. HISP Rwanda is supporting Health sector with different DHIS2 Registries that collect individual data, it was imperative to have this certificate as stipulated by the new law. This is a great achievement in 2024 as far as data privacy and protection is concened .
