What could be the issue? I have tried logging in to the user account using a different laptop as well and it yields the same results.

Did you try another browser [not just a different laptop]? Would you please check 1) the console and 2) the Network tab? Please try the Empty Cache and Hard Reload first:

in Chrome, if you visit the app and perform a “hard reload”, it should fix the app in Chrome for you.

You can hard reload by using Cmd-Shift-R on Mac or Ctrl-Shift-R on other operating systems, or right-clicking on the reload button while the browser developer tools are open, which is how I got this screenshot:
