Data element type [Organisation unit] Display UID

Dear DHIS2 users,

We have been using the data element with the type organisation unit but unfortunately the system displays the UID of the org unit selected. The end users at facility are not familiar with the codes.

Do anyone know how to display the name rather than the UID?

Hi Andrew,

we have corrected this in version 2.26. According to a previous thread it was a larger piece of works which is not likely to be back-ported. Sorry about that.

Let me test and use 2.26.

Hi Andrew,

we have corrected this in version 2.26. According to a previous thread it was a larger piece of works which is not likely to be back-ported. Sorry about that.

We reported this to the developers and they said its an issue they are looking into… probably in that next release it will be solved.

Hi team, is the issue solved completely?
I used events report and face the same issue.
The element was created as tracked entity attribute.

I’m sorry the screenshot doesn’t show exactly what the issue is. What part of that image isn’t the way it’s supposed to be? Also, is there a chance to upgrade? It’s recommended to upgrade to one of the latest versions at least 2.34.7. If you decide to upgrade, please follow the instructions: Upgrading - DHIS2 Documentation

uid orgunit instead of a name.

  1. create an tracked entity attribute with value type orgunit
  2. add the tracked entity attribute to child program
  3. Using Tracker App, open one person in Njandama MCHP, edit profile of a person and and add orgunitattribute, e.g: Bo
  4. Run analytics
  5. event report, list line , enrollment, orgunitattribute
  6. this will display Bo uid instead of Bo as name

@mutali Please see JIRA 7107 - bug should be fixed and backported to 2.36 and 2.35 now

Thank you for pointing this out @Calle_Hedberg! I also see that Date and time data type doesn’t display in event reports - https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-7107 was created in 2019 but thanks @mutali for bringing this up to the community as well. :heart:

I’m having the same issue for a data element of type (OU), which displays as UID, but when I extract overdue events from Tracker Capture, as shown in the image:
Note: Now we use 2.38.2 version and reproduce on DHIS 2 Demo - Sierra Leone The same issue appeared.
