We would like to know if there is any organization implementing data approval in DHIS2.
For those who do, how do you use it ?
Can data be approved at all dataset statuses (Complete / Incomplete)?
How do approvers know which datasets need to be approved?
Are event forms, entered in the Capture app, subject for approval?
In the ICRC we have implemented some workarounds that enable visibility for users on the approval status of reports and would like to know if the community is interested in introducing enhancements in the core app.

We try to use data approval app, and you can see from the data approval app, when selecting the organisation units for a specific workflow and period, which organisations units have been approved, and which are waiting for approval.
We also created an SQL view enabling to create a table listing the org units, data Sets and periods for which data has already been approved.
Unfortunately, the “approval” status is not related to the “complete” status, so , as far as i know, you can not configure a workflo to prevent approval if data was not completed fist (hence if validation rules did not work).
Besides, if you use attribute option combination in your data Set, the data approval app does not currently manage to show the dataSets which have been completed for a specific attribute option combination, bt the DHIS2 team is working on this for a future release (not usre about the target date and version for this).
For events and tracker programs, as far as i know, there is no approval possible, and we use workarounds which are not 100% satisfying neither.
And we would definitely be interested in such features as well.
