Data Approval with dataSet category combination attributes

Hi everyone,

We have a dataSet configured with a category combination configured for the dataSet (attribute) similar to implementing partners and project on the ART monthly DataSet on play environment.

Everything is working well for data Entry, but when trying to configure the data Approval Workflow, I don’t understand how I can separate the data approval by Implementing partner or project.

When I open the dataApproval app, the figures displayed for a specific month are the sum of all the figures for the diffents category options (across implementing partners and projects).

Is it possible in the data Approval App to select the implementing partner or the project for approve only the data for a specific category option?

It tried to configure a data approval workflow and applied to the ART DataSET on pley:

Data Approval | DHIS2

I see the data for all category combinations (and have no way to select an implementing partner or project in the data approval app), and the approval does not work due to a system error.

Would anyone know how to confiugure the data approval app wnen applying category combination to a dataset?

Hi @gregory : the approval app does not currently support selection by attribute option combo. We are looking at potentially adding that as a new feature.

In the meanwhile, I just saw this post which explains this, and the possibility to use the API (not suited in our case).

I mark this post as resolved, but would definitely be intersted in the new feature to be able to approve by partner or by project in the data Approval app.

Hi @DHIS2 Team,

It may be a good idea to update the documentation if the approval by category combination attribute is not supported anymore, as the documentation stil explains how to do it:

Hi do you need me to add this in the feature request or it is already in the pipeline? If there is a way to follow up on this to have an idea of when the feature would be available, I would be interested. Alternativley, I understand that there is a custom Data Approval app used by the PEPFAR Project,according to @Jim_Grace ‘s post. Do you know if this custom app is still maintained and available to other users?

Also @Gassim I asked on Jira, but you may be aware if there is a plan to deploy this feature on version 2.41 or only for 2.42?
