I’m facing a problem with the dashboard module in DHIS2, and I would appreciate any insights or suggestions.
Environment:
- DHIS2 Version: 2.40.3
- Dashboard App Version: 101.2
- Data Visualizer App Version: 101.1
What works:
- Maps (GIS visualizations) load correctly on the dashboard
- Event report tables are displayed properly
What doesn’t work:
- Visualizations (charts and pivot tables) created using the Data Visualizer do not load on the dashboard.
- The components stay in a loading loop (spinning circle) and never render.
- This issue affects all standard users, but everything works fine when using a superuser account.
Additional notes:
- We created the visualizations in the same DHIS2 version (2.40.3)
- The visualizations can be opened and viewed correctly via Analyze > Data Visualizer
- Cache has been cleared; dashboard items reinserted; no improvement
- We’ve tried changing sharing settings and recreating the favorites — the issue persists
- Console in the browser does not show blocking errors related to the dashboard itself
Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
Is there a known compatibility or metadata sharing issue between the Dashboard and the Data Visualizer apps in version 2.40?
