Customize DHIS2 header bar

Hi,
I want to customize header bar,
I found a script in web-common-resources with name header-bar.js
Is it the right file and How can I change this file to customize the header bar this file is build file and not real source

Would you please share the use case? It would be great to know if there’s something that could be a feature request that will be helpful for the community as a whole.

Is the method you are referring to using a custom app? If you are building a web custom app to make these changes, it’s understandable; however, if you are referring to making changes to the core then it’s advised not to as this will hinder your instance from receiving updates/upgrades.

As for the styling, currently the formal way of doing customizations:

Where you currently can customize styling

login page:

• in v38.6, v39.5, v40.3: this is customizable via api/files/style (e.g. here is the documentation that Gassim shared, specifically for v40)

• in v41, you can upload a custom template (Settings and configuration - DHIS2 Documentation)

custom apps:

• you can write your own apps and make your own styling choices here. We encourage you to use components from the DHIS2 UI library , but you are free to implement what you want. Some developers choose to write their own custom apps to cover most user interaction with the system. You can also set the landing app to be a custom app from within the settings app (Appearance > Start page)

android

• The android app has supported some limited theming. From your question, I believe you are more interested in web apps, but let us know if you are also interested in styling in the android app.
