Current location of the RTS sandbox or an alternative download link

Hi Community,

I am trying to set up the DHIS2-RTS (Real-Time Stock Management) Tracker Program and the documentation points to the following sandbox for downloading the metadata:

https://lmis.integration.dhis2.org/sandbox/dhis-web-commons/security/login.action

However, this URL does not appear to be working. Could anyone point me to:

  1. An alternative location to download the RTS metadata package (JSON)?
  2. Or a working sandbox instance I can export the metadata from?

Thank you!

Hi @moses_mwale

Would this work:

Hi Moses, apologies, we had to change our instances names due to a new instance manager but Gassim provided the updated link which is working. Let me know if I can support you in any way.

Hi Moses. I forgot to inform you of an important change. In order to reduce server load, any instance which is not in used is “hibernated”. When the URL is called for the first time, it will take about one minute to “restart” (and during that time just “circle”, appear unresponsive and may not even display the URL you copy/pasted) but afterwards have the normal responsiveness.

https://lmis.im.dhis2.org/sandbox
This is the only instance we use for development and hosting the current configuration.
I just logged in with the demo/Stock123! credentials and confirmed that the instance is accessible although it took more like 3 minutes to “wake up” today.

Please do confirm whether the instance works for you and if there is anything else I can help with.

Thank you very much @George_McGuire and @Gassim this was helpful. I was able to get the metadata though not the exact expected for the ITNs but I got ideas from that.

Hi Moses, thanks for the confirmation! We have been contemplating metadata “packages” for years but concluded that because of the specifics it is probably less work to configure from scratch. Nevertheless please do let us know what your expectations are so we can improve the ease of DHIS2-RTS implementation.
