Creating Program Indicators based on multiselect data element in dhis2 v41 Capture app

Hi all,
With the introduction of multi-select option sets, how can we use multi-select data elements to create program indicators?
For instance, if a multi-select data element includes options like Drug1, Drug2, Drug3, Drug4, and Drug5, and multiple drugs can be selected at once, how can I create a program indicator ? OR How to analyze this in Data visualizer?
Thanks

Hi @Bakari

Multi-select is only for the Aggregate model and not the Tracker model. If you try to add a Multi-text optionset to a tracker domain data element, you will see a screenshot as in the screenshot below:

You will probably need to create a data element for each drug and then create program indicators.

Thanks!

Thank you @Gassim,
In DHIS2 version 41, the data element multiselect option set works well for the tracker domain and the Capture app during data entry. If this feature isn’t officially intended for the tracker domain, it would still be beneficial to support multiselect for better data analysis/program indicators especially compared to use ‘YesOnly’, which is very difficult to manage for cases like drug lists or ICD-10/11 diagnoses, long lists items, etc. Please see the screenshot below:

Thanks

Hi @Bakari

You’re right, I should have tested in one of the latest versions as well. I was testing in version 2.40 and as you correctly noted that it’s supported in versions 2.41+.

Therefore, back to your main question, have you found the solution? The main point is that this depends on what you are trying to aggregate as an indicator? What is the question that you want to answer based on the indicator?

Thanks!

Thank you, @Gassim.
