I am working on a project to create a DHIS2 Tracker Program for Reproductive Health.
Here’s the context:
I think it is very much related to the CHIS Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) module from DHIS2 documentation, which is aggregate based.
I have also reviewed the RMNCAH ANC Registry, which is a Tracker program but focuses only on maternal (antenatal) health and not on reproductive health.
My challenge:
I want to build a Tracker program for Reproductive Health (individual-level, client-centered), but I cannot find an official DHIS2 Tracker metadata package for RH.
I need guidance on:
Best practices for converting aggregate SRH data elements into a Tracker program.
Concept of reproductive health and how to structure program stages.
Any recommendations or examples of Reproductive Health Tracker Programs already implemented in DHIS2.
Tips on program rules, indicators, and dashboards for SRH services.
I would greatly appreciate any pointers, existing metadata references, or example implementations that could help me design a robust Reproductive Health Tracker in DHIS2.
My advice would be to continue doing the guides so you understand the concepts, then it will be very easy for you to adapt the knowledge to the RMNCAH work you need to get done. I have found this guide and practice exercises to be quite helpful: Trainer's Guide to Creating a Tracker Program - DHIS2 Documentation
(I am also new to tracker but the guides have helped me create my first tracker program and implement program rules as well as optimizing it for Android)
Thank you @Nthatile. I am using the same guide and have also tried creating a couple of programs by following it. I am currently trying to develop / configure a Tracker program for Reproductive Health and exploring which areas are covered so that I can properly configure the program, including program stages, data elements, and other necessary components. I would appreciate any guidance on key areas to include or best practices for setting up the tracker effectively. My goal is to ensure the program accurately captures individual-level reproductive health services.
@Nthatile, thanks for sharing this info, very helpful. I’d also like to add some references, in addition to the ones @rcpoudel mentioned in the following post:
Additionally, after completing the above, make sure to complete the two new courses: New DHIS2 Event Courses Now Available! (they are event courses but will help when looking at packages that are event based).
