create organisation units in version 2.23

Hello guys,
When i want to create an organisation unit in dhis2, i don’t see the field for store the coordinates of the organisation unit.

Hi Sokhna,

We can store the coordinates of an organisation unit using the “longitude” and “latitude” fields. See the screenshot below. You can try on the Demo instance of DHIS - https://play.dhis2.org/demo/

I am running the version 2.23 and the demo version is 2.24 so it’s not available at the version 2.23 or?

Hi papa,

Note that you can only set coordinates through maintenance / organisation view if this orgUnit doesn’t have children (DHIS2 understand it like a point)

For orgUnit which have chidren , you need to import GML file through import/export module. as explained Here

You can do it also through sql if you have access to database.

Hey Papa,

You are correct that it is not available for 2.23, when rebuilding it we forgot to put it in as the field only showed up based on certain condition.

I’ll see what we can do to backport it. If you have the possibility you could add the coordinates through the API like you would do for polygon.
