Can DHIS2 run on MS SQL Server?

Hi all,

Just picking up a previous thread from 2009/2010 (linked below):

Supporting MS Sql Server? - Support - Assistance technique - DHIS2 Community

I was wondering if there have been any updates as to whether DHIS2 can run on MS SQL Server or if what is contained in the linked thread still applies?

I ask as the team I am working with to implement my instance of DHIS2 has expertise on MS SQL Server rather than PostgreSQL

Hi, it is correct that early version of DHIS2 supported different database solutions. However, as of the last few years only PostgreSQL is supported and DHIS2 now relies on PostgreSQL-specific functionality.
