Call for UX/UI Contributors! Do you want to test the new app for individual data analysis?

Help us shape the future of the Individual Data analysis experience in DHIS2

Hi everyone!

The DHIS2 team is working on a new app for the next release, V43. You can follow its evolution in this roadmap idea (and explore the “Delivery” section). This brand new app will bring together the best of Event Reports and the new functionality of the Line Listing app.

We are working hard to design this new app to provide an intuitive user experience that aligns with other DHIS2 analytics apps, making it easier for users to learn and use. We are now ready to test some of our prototypes and refine them based on your feedback, which is where we need you!

We’re looking for 10 DHIS2 users to participate in a one-on-one UX Research session.

If you are a DHIS2 implementer or admin, please reach out to your end users and help them sign up!

Who We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from users that:

  • Are an end user who analyzes data using DHIS2 in their regular work.
  • Use Event Reports and/or Line Listing apps to create pivot tables and line lists.
  • Can join a 1 on 1 remote session (Zoom) for about 1 hour between 21st October to 7th November.

We’ll review all responses and reach out to find a suitable time.

Why Participate

  • Your insights will help us improve and simplify DHIS2 for thousands of users
  • You’ll be among the first to preview how the next version of Event Reports & Line Listing could work
  • You’ll also earn a brand new CoP badge - UX/UI Contributor, as a token of recognition for your time and contribution to this activity.

How to Sign Up

If you’d like to participate, please fill out this short form: Form link

Sign Up soon – The form will be open until 15th October… Wednesday next week!

After you sign up, we’ll review all responses and schedule calls with participants who best fit the focus of this round. Even if we can’t schedule a session right now, we’ll keep your name for future opportunities.

We will get back to you by 17th October 2025 the latest.

What will you do

The session will be approximately 1 hour long, and will be conducted remotely over Zoom.

During this session, you’ll take part in a few guided activities that reflect the kinds of tasks you normally do in Event Reports and/or Line Listing apps. We’ll observe how you complete these tasks (we will use demo servers, no need to share your instances!), so we can understand what feels smooth, what feels confusing, and where the experience can be improved.

Note:

  • This is not a focus group. We’ll dedicate around one hour per person so we can explore your experience in depth and have space for a free, thoughtful discussion.
  • It’s also not a test or interview. There are no right or wrong answers. Our goal is simply to see how you naturally use these tools and learn from your experience. Your participation can directly shape the design of the new app.

Your feedback is invaluable to help us make DHIS2 more intuitive and powerful for everyone. Thank you for helping us build a better experience!

Dear Marta,
My name is Dieudonné Ngufu Bijola, IT specialist and data analyst for nutrition in the Democratic Republic of Congo. As a power user of DHIS2, I support its implementation within the National Health Information System (SNIS) across 26 provinces.
I’m very interested in joining the UX research session to share field-based feedback on both individual and aggregated nutrition data analysis, and to contribute to improving this new app for end users.

Best regards,
